Lusail University Celebrates the Cultures of More Than 30 Countries at the “Cultural Village” in Katara

This evening, Lusail University inaugurated the “Cultural Village” event, held at the northern side of Katara Corniche, in the presence of Dr. Khalid Al-Sulaiti, General Manager of Katara, along with a number of Their Excellencies ambassadors and officials. The guests took part in the opening of the pavilions and toured the cultural activities representing the participating countries.

The “Cultural Village” event is sponsored by the General Foundation for Cultural Village “Katara,” the official sponsor of the event, and Ooredoo as the official telecommunications partner, as part of their support for student initiatives and cultural events that promote community engagement.

The event program featured a diverse range of cultural and artistic performances that reflected the richness of the popular heritage of the participating countries. The performances included traditional arts, folk dances, folkloric shows, and cultural fashion displays that highlighted the visual identity and heritage of each country.

Lusail University Organizes the Fourth Edition of Sustainable Development Day in Collaboration with the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change and Qatar Museums

On Monday, 17 November 2025, Lusail University hosted the fourth edition of Sustainable Development Day, with the distinguished participation of more than 200 female and male students from various academic programs. This year’s event was held under the theme “Sustainability Is a Shared Responsibility,” reaffirming the university’s commitment to supporting national sustainability efforts, enhancing environmental awareness among students, and empowering them to engage in initiatives that contribute to the achievement of Qatar National Vision 2030.

The activities and lectures focused on linking theoretical knowledge with practical application by discussing ways to integrate sustainability into daily life, the role of educational institutions in promoting environmental awareness, and highlighting leading national initiatives aimed at addressing climate change and protecting natural resources.

College of Law at Lusail University Holds the First Female Students Forum

The College of Law at Lusail University held the First Female Students Forum, organized by the Legal Clinic and the Moot Court, on Thursday, 11 November 2025, in the presence of a number of female students and faculty members.

The forum included the presentation of a series of panels prepared by the students, through which they showcased initiatives and contributions of civil society organizations in Qatar, with the participation of twelve entities. These included the Regulatory Authority for Charitable Activities, Qatar Charity, DREEMA (Qatar Foundation for the Care of Orphans), the Qatar Social and Cultural Center for the Deaf, Eid Charity Foundation, Ehsan (Qatar Foundation for Elderly Care), the Qatar Red Crescent Society, the Qatar Society for the Rehabilitation of Special Needs, the Qatar Zakat Fund, Jassim and Hamad bin Jassim Charitable Foundation, Education Above All Foundation, the Qatar Foundation for the Protection of Children and Women, and the Cultural Center for Motherhood and Childhood.

Lusail University Signs an Agreement to Design a Bachelor’s Program in Drone Engineering and Programming

As part of its efforts to expand horizons of international cooperation, strengthen strategic partnerships, and design academic programs in leading technological fields, Lusail University signed a Memorandum of Understanding with a leading Chinese technology company, aiming to collaborate in the areas of innovation, education, and knowledge exchange.

The agreement was signed by Prof. Dr. Mohammed Aref Al-Shurayda, Dean of the College of Information Technology at Lusail University, and Mr. Wong Hongsheng, General Manager of the company.

Lusail University Celebrates the Graduation of Its Second Cohort of 2025

Amid an atmosphere full of pride and celebration, Lusail University organized the graduation ceremony for its second cohort of students for the academic year 2024–2025, attended by distinguished official and academic figures, parents, faculty and administrative members, and a large number of invited guests.

The ceremony was honored by the presence of Her Excellency Ms. Lolwah Rashid Al-Khater, Minister of Education and Higher Education, alongside His Excellency Dr. Ali bin Fteis Al-Marri, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Lusail University, and His Excellency Prof. Dr. Nizam Hindi, President of the University, in addition to representatives from several official bodies, embassies, and local and international educational institutions.
