Amid an atmosphere full of pride and celebration, Lusail University organized the graduation ceremony for its second cohort of students for the academic year 2024–2025, attended by distinguished official and academic figures, parents, faculty and administrative members, and a large number of invited guests.
The ceremony was honored by the presence of Her Excellency Ms. Lolwah Rashid Al-Khater, Minister of Education and Higher Education, alongside His Excellency Dr. Ali bin Fteis Al-Marri, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Lusail University, and His Excellency Prof. Dr. Nizam Hindi, President of the University, in addition to representatives from several official bodies, embassies, and local and international educational institutions.
In his speech during the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Nizam Hindi expressed his happiness with this achievement, saying:
"Today, we celebrate the fruit of years of hard work and dedication, as we graduate a cohort of Lusail University students who have truly earned the honor of being ambassadors of knowledge, ready to embark on their future with confidence and competence."
The University President emphasized that these achievements resulted from a clear strategic vision, an inspiring learning environment, and a continuous commitment to developing academic programs. He noted that the university successfully achieved 95% of the objectives of its strategic plan for 2021–2025 and is now preparing to launch its new strategy for 2025–2030, focusing on innovation and creativity, digital transformation, expansion in scientific research, development of local and international partnerships, and enhancing the student experience in a world-class educational environment. He stressed that institutional integration and collaborative spirit among all university components were the foundation of this success.
Additionally, student representatives Mohammed Al-Atiya and Noura Al-Nuaimi delivered a speech on behalf of the graduates, expressing their pride in belonging to Lusail University and appreciation for the support received from their professors, families, and peers, affirming their determination to apply what they have learned to contribute positively to the nation’s future. They said:
"We followed in the footsteps of those who came before us, carried the torch of ambition, and overcame challenges, inspired by the Prophet ﷺ’s saying: ‘Allah loves that when one of you does a job, he perfects it.’ Today, we leave our seats filled with knowledge and values, ready for a new phase of giving and responsibility."
The ceremony included the honoring of graduates from undergraduate and master’s programs across various colleges, namely:
– College of Education and Arts
– College of Business and Commerce
– College of Law
– Master’s Program Graduates
– Graduates from Sorbonne University – Qatar branch, within the framework of academic cooperation between the two institutions
Outstanding students, sponsors, and scholarship providers were also recognized for their role in supporting the educational journey and providing opportunities for student excellence.
The ceremony concluded with warm applause and moving moments capturing the joy of graduates and their families, as all expressed anticipation for a bright future in which Lusail University graduates continue their journey of excellence across various fields of work and knowledge.
The event embodied Lusail University’s ambitious vision to be a key contributor to the development of human capital and a supporter of national development in the State of Qatar.
