General Rules

  • Students are expected to attend every class of the courses they take at Lusail University.
  • Instructors are responsible for recording and maintaining student’s attendance.
  • The maximum absence limit is 25% (or 30% per English policy) of the total lectures.
  • Exceeding the limit results in an "FB" grade, which affects the GPA.
Note: A student is considered present if they provide an acceptable excuse, provided they attend remotely or watch recorded lectures via Blackboard.

Procedures

  • Submit the excuse to the instructor via email.
  • Attend lectures remotely or watch recorded sessions during the period.
  • If the instructor rejects the excuse, the student can appeal to the College Dean, whose decision is final.
